Formed in 1997, The Dark Horses play a Country/American music that holds tightly to its late 60's/early 70's west coast country roots while adding a new voice that is wholly their own.

Their fans include hardcore country purists, rock fans, and the alt.country set. Their live shows in New York consistently received Village Voice "Voice Choices" and rave reviews from those in attendance.

The Dark Horses' debut CD "Come Along" was released in 2002 and garnered praise and enthusiastic responses from critics and fans alike. Their self-titled follow-up of 2005 showed the band developing the potential of their core sound and has been equally well-received.
